Hope for Hazy Hollow
Transformation Journey

Hazy Hollow is a sub-divsion in Houston, TX with 650+ trailer homes filled with drug addicts, prostitution, crime, homelessness and sex offenders. It is said of Hazy Hollow that “once you move in, you never get out”. People live behind fences, yard filled with junk and “no trespassing” signs, guarded by dogs. The community is isolated, quiet and everybody keeps to themselves.

For the past 5 years I have been serving a team of pastors and their congregations by consulting, consecration processes, seminars, revival classes and prayer/worship strategies. These congregations had engaged in consecration processes, restored their family altars.  As we continued on the journey of transformation, the Lord made it clear that Hazy Hollow was on His heart for transformation!

“We have determined that our home will serve as an embassy of God’s Kingdom presence. Our property will be His sovereign soil, where His love, grace and hope abound to serve others.”

Pastor Denny and Cindy Dillon
Hazy Hollow

A couple of years ago, the Lord spoke clearly to Nazarene Pastor Denny and Cindy Dillon to move into Hazy Hollow and buy property on a lake that had belonged to a pedophile and was a junkyard. The Lord gave all of us a clear sense that THIS was the community Jesus wanted to transform.

Denny and Cindy said “yes” to the Lord’s invitation and after extensive clean up moved into the Hollow. Together with the other pastors and people, we dedicated the land to the Lord, buried the word of God on the property and invited the presence of God to come and dwell in the land and bring transformation to it.

Soon after the Dillon’s moved into the Hollow and the land was dedicated to the Lord, God began changing the dark reality of Hazy Hollow. New life is coming to this once-forsaken land! God is uprooting sin and there is fresh hope! Authentic, presence-based transformation is happening in this community and God is just getting started!

Rusty & Kim were meth addicts living in trees and tents before they met Jesus. Now they are working to see it redeemed!

Creation is responding!

Unusual activity and change in creation is one of the hallmarks of transformation in the 21st Century.

There is already ecological transformation occurring in Hazy Hollow. Not only is the atmosphere changing and the peach of God resting on the land, an immature, bay orange tree on the Dillon’s property began producing abundant, sweet oranges. Branches literally hanging on the ground with heavy fruit!

Also, a pair of wrens kept flying into the Dillon’s home together searching for a place to build a nest! After a week of being escorted back out of the house Denny found the pair had built a small next on a bookshelf in his office!
